"For the past two years, she doesn't seem to have taken much time off, stepping out around the world with ‘Stepping Out,' her high-energy, singing, dancing, reminiscing, costume-changing show. Her work didn't end there. Some shows were recorded and filmed, and she spent many days in the editing room, compiling the video and laser disc ``Liza Minnelli Live! at Radio City Music Hall.'
One highlight of the `Stepping Out' shows was her backup dancers-singers, who she called her `demon divas.' They arrived on stage from audience seats each night - tall, short, fat, thin, old, young, one set of twins, dressed in remarkable variety."
